I have a lot of thoughts going through my head right now...I am probably faced with the hardest thing that I can think of that I've experienced in my life...and not a tear has been shed over it. Amazing, I tell you, God is amazing! He is truly lifting up my head and heart right now. It's not anything relationship related at all, Praise God! Nothing is too hard for God and He's showing me what joy in sorrow feels like. I should absolutely , positively be sad about certain things, but I have gladness and joy because I have hope. I am trusting the One that never fails and I believe that makes a big difference.. Interestingly enough as I'm writing this and declaring in faith that I will have joy, God worked on some one's heart. That quick and in an instant. This is how I know that God is real. In the midst of a dry place, or a situation where you just can not see how it will get better, God steps in and will show you once again who He is and what He can do. Faith is the one thing that no one can take away from you. It can be challenged and tested, but no one can take it away from you.
Find ways to make an impact with your life. Sometimes when I think about the people in my life that God has blessed me with I begin to cry. Tears of joy. Because I remember when...and I know that God is just showing me how much He loves me through them. We have what we say and we are what we say! There is so much life and power in our words! The very atmosphere around you changes when you speak..it seems so simple, but it really isn't. It requires work and diligence The word of God says that Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it will eat the fruit thereof. I want good fruit to be produced from my speech, so that I can reap the benefits..How about you?
love ya!

Where My heart Belongs...
In regards to God-that's a no brainer, it absolutely unequivocally belongs in the palm of His hands, and that's where it will stay. When I think about the statement above "Where My Heart Belongs" I almost wince at the thought, when considering being in a relationship, being in love. This is a question that I've asked myself so many times. Of course traumatic events often push these thoughts to the forefront. I still wonder how it all fits into the equation of my life..still. You know the saying, you take two steps forward and are seemingly shoved 10 steps back, by something or somebody?? Well I've learned how to endure the blow and not get blown back into yesterday, however moving forward is the most challenging waters to navigate. it's easy to be complacent when it pertains to love, especially when you've been hurt badly. It's one thing to forgive someone and let it go. It's a whole other set of circumstances trying to wholeheartedly move forward with the next person who just might be the RIGHT person.....pausing to think.....or even allowing yourself to believe their is a RIGHT person. Someone recently asked me if I would be content being single for the rest of my life. I immediately said no....without a thought, that's progress for me. However would I be willing to move forward if God said today or tomorrow..I don't know.
How scary is it though to tell someone your story again, trust that what their saying is truth, believe all over again that this time will be different? It's very scary,if we'd be honest. Something that we might even avoid. How many times have many of us prayed to God and expressed our heart to Him and still find ourselves not sure. I submit that God is truly up to something. He is working on the intricate and dark places that we are not even able to conceptualize. How can anyone truly measure the full extent/impact of hurt and pain? It's a real and individual experience, as unique as our fingerprints. It often surfaces when we least expect it. And although we can empathize with each other, no one can feel the virtue leave us when someone says something or does something that causes that emotional blow.
I am no longer a pessimist, I declare that I'm an optimist. As an optimist I believe that everything will work together for my good..OUR good Romans 8:28. I also believe that when I can not seemingly effectively apply my analytical skills or common sense to understand a situation, that I have to apply the word of God! So Proverbs 3:5-6, Psalm 37:4, Jeremiah 29:11 they answer where my heart TRULY belongs and will stay--Tied up in my destiny never to be separated from God's perfect will. When I think about it all , it all starts and ends with God-so if I fully and completely trust HIM I cant go wrong. I just have to be patient and obedient.
The bottom line is having faith in those hard times, when you can't see..
Love Yall!!

Seasons-Seeds&Harvest
So there are a myriad of topics that I want to blog about and I will probably just touch on a little bit of all of them in this blog =)
So its been a little over a month and many things have transpired. I'm in a very unique place in my life. I'm establishing an intricate balance in my life, that was not there before. I had cut myself off from certain natural happenings of life, mainly because there was major work that the Lord needed to do in my life. He is definitely not through with me in the least, however I have stepped into this new season with resolve and a desire to plow forward in a positive and progressive way.The season has undoubtedly come with its struggles and challenges, however it is necessary. Faith is unfolding in a way that I've never experienced in my life. So many situations are coming up that require intense Faith on my part. I literally have to force words of life out of my mouth. The scripture that says out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks has been playing out in my life, in a very real way. The Lord has been showing me my heart conditions through the words that have rolled out of my mouth. With every mistake He shows me that I need a lot more work, I don't have to be perfect, but I must be repentive. Thus all the experiences of the last month and a half have shaped me in a wonderful. all I can do is continue to TRUST GOD along the way. And I hope you do as well, its worth it!
The Lord has used some amazing ministries to help me move to the next dimension in Him. I am careful about who I endorse, support, or recommend because I realize that every one's experience is different, but these have inspired me, helped me, or all out revolutionzed my thinking.
Bonnerfide Radio-
This internet radio broadcast is hosted by the amazing Gerard Bonner. I don't use the word "amazing" with just anyone. This is an individual that does not just play songs and narrate for the purpose of entertainment. This is someone who speaks life, love, peace, prosperity, and even words of correction(in love) to those who listen. The love that is shown is often completely overwhelming and God's spirit truly flows when the BRC(bonnerfide radio chat crew) come together. Check it out at www.getbonnerfide.com
Next up is a ministry that when I initially became aware of was very inspired and intrigued by, and I kind of got pre-occupied with other stuff...My bad...LOL
This is the ministry of Gospel rapper MILLIYON. He has penned a movement that he calls "Live Milliyonic"
What intrigued me about this ministry is that the website did not simply focus on his body of work as an artist. It actually encompasses a movement in which the mission is directed towards winning souls for Christ and making an impact in the areas that Christians have been instructed to do so. Please peruse the website and check out the blog/youtube page etc. You will see exactly what I mean! It is noteworthy, which is why I chose to blog about it this time around.
www.livemilliyonic.com
They are others I will highlight in the future, just because its important that Christians lead and lead well. There are enough folks falling and as people of God we should bear them up. But we should also salute and FULLY support those that are displaying God's righteousness through their actions.
Again check these folk out and give feedback if you want!
Love ya much and let's make this OUR YEAR!

Character....
In thinking about my life, the experiences of those around me, and my private conversations with God-the subject of CHARACTER keeps popping up in my head.
Character is defined as: moral or ethical quality.
Okay so, if your moral and ethical quality is shaky then that translates into your actions being as such. Like, somebody might appear to be wonderful and everything you think you might want, but if you watch closely...I mean if you really really observe they will inadvertently show you who they are...Most often us single folks think that we have to be longsuffering when it comes to romantic relationships...I beg to differ when we consider CHARACTER and our Precious futures..when someone repeatedly shows you that their character needs MAJOR development it is not our job to fix that..nor do we have to wait around when they clearly dont want to progress ....THIS ONLY APPLIES TO SINGLE FOLK..LOL...Married folk u already know u just gotta deal with a praying heart(again depending on the severity of the circumstances)
Now if this person is working to improve their character then Amen! This is a GROWING relationship, where TRUE love can be realized. But if not, we really dont have the time to waste..My Bishop calls it "fixation of character" you can absolutely love someone whose character is "SUSPECT"(lol) but that does not mean you have to endure the emotional abuse that comes along with them trying to get a grip on their "out of control" life. You can def pray for them, but their heaviness and burdens should not become yours...unless you feel "equipped" enough to endure(2eachhisown)
For Example:Simple things like if they are never willing to extend their expressions of love, care, or concern first- then they clearly have a problem with rejection. They also are selfish. I say this because a selfish person says "I'll wait to see what you do before I'm gonna do what I do". They may very well have no problem expressing themselves after that, but it's only because they were not the primary risk-taker. Had to raise my hand and say ouch. It's just like when someone truly offends you and when u see them instead of you saying "hi" first you look away...We tell ourselves we not speaking cause they aren't... the real deal is that we dont want to deal with REJECTION, especially from someone who has already wronged us.
GOOD CHARACTER SAYS:I'm not gonna send her/him that text because I know I have no intentions on following up with that...let me stop think and PAUSE..Just cause I'm feeling lonely at this moment doesnt mean I need to cause her/him many moments of confusion and pain...
GOOD CHARACTER SAYS: As much as I wanna go there and do this or do that. I know that I have to first set my house in order
GOOD CHARCATER SAYS: Although I'm hurting I'm not going to take it out on you..I'm going to protect you, love you, and be well intentioned toward you
GOOD CHARACTER: Corrects a wrong doing
Much more I could say, but I just thank God for how he's unfolding things to me...COMPASSION is an amazing expression of love. Unfortunately some people are abusers of compassion. It is imperative that we be balanced in our approach to people..Knowing when a season is over and also being open to receive new blessings and embrace new seasons.
My prayer is that my character would mirror God's and that as I repent before Him, and live my life according to His will that my moral and ethical qualities would remain in tact while I am displaying love and compassion for those around me.
Love you all much! =) XOXOXOXO

Life..............
Livin & Learnin---Learnin & Livin ...so much to absorb..so much to discard..where do I begin?? I start with me, my flaws, my issues, my mistakes, my ways that are not so right... Constantly looking in that mirror and waiting in silence for truth to immerge..not afraid or ashamed to face the gritty grungy truth, ready to tear that mess up by the root. Sad/happy, happy/sad...teeter tottering on 2 familiar spectrums wondering where I fall...where do I really wanna be..do I want to wallow in self-pity or bask in the abundance of bliss...what will I miss while I try once again to sift through all of this?? A myriad of thoughts...a myriad of emotions flowing shooting exploding in my head..Sometimes I've felt like..wished I was ..........
Like a burst of light exposing darkness the voice of God through the pages of life cut through the montage of thoughts/emotions/anxieties/fears/questions....Now I know what to do..now I know there's purpose for me..Now I'm ready to surrender completely and give HIM all I have so that he can make me what he wants me to be...The LIGHT always nullifies darkness...I've come full circle and although I must begin again I am certain of the bright future ahead.......I can finally see clearly, freely, without reservation, without doubt....ambitious, but somehwat naive..naive to the drudgery of doubt/fear/pain ...clean slate..newness....boundless...Magnificent...basking in HIS SPLENDOR!!

Paradigm Shift
I named this blog that because my way/pattern of thinking has changed...Let me explain something...so I used to believe in SoulMates when I was a lil younger like up until I turned like 22....27 now...A lot happened..but I'd gotten to the point where I felt like there was no such thing as SoulMates..I'd seen so much and just felt like it was silly, naive, and ridiculous to think that there was someone for everyone..Just didnt seem like everyone was gonna get a fair shake...I now realize that SoulMates exist...I felt like Christians make Spirit lead choices..but surely there was no such thing as soulmates..The mother of this way of thinking was DOUBT...I simply did not believe that the possibility of 2 people being completely meant for one another was possible...with everything I have experienced over the past years watching relationships..dealing with various people..my faith had to be restored...cant say what exactly did it..various things I guess..my Bishop always says U choose u loose...I started to believe otherwise for reasons that I can not understand now-in retrospect-I now whole heartedly agree with Charles Harris..LOL..He has been married 52 years! I made a choice recently based on what I thought was spirit lead...it was really emotion lead, and it was a mess! So I told the Lord that I concede..LOL..So I will continue to wait until my SoulMate is ready, willing, and able to connect with me, so that we can move forward in the destiny God has for us....
I'm really gonna try to stay off of relationships from now on...gonna really try.
Love yall,
Kiyah

Food For thought
MY friend opened up the question about whether marriage is more NATURAL or SPIRITUAL, he also delved in the difference between dating engagement etc....he had some great insight, so I wanted to share, enjoy =)>>>>>>>>>>>
Question Posed: What tips or guidelines would you suggest for the dating christian?OR Do you even believe that christians should date?Lastly, is the institution of marriage more natural or more spiritual?CHOOSE TO ANSWER ONE OR ALL!!! LEAVE A COMMENT!!!! JOIN THE CONVO!!!!!
Joshua says: I believe the misconception is that we are implying the fact that we are saved...So of course, to the saved person, we will apply more spiritual application to marriage...However, lets remember that we are talking about the "institution of marriage"..If we say its more spiritual than natural.....What happens when two unsaved people mary and stay married for 50 years?...Secondly, analyze this passage of scripture - 1 Corinthians 7:34 - There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband. My question is How can "careth for the things of the world" be more spiritual than natural?..I do believe it has many spiritual applications, but its obviously more natural...
PART II
Question Posed:
IF MARRIAGE IS CREATED BY GOD THEN WHAT IS SO NATURAL ABOUT IT?
Joshua says:I would say neither...As I have always stated that its MORE natural than spiritual.....There is definitely a spiritual side because it is indeed created by God.....I'm not arguing that, However the scripture teaches us that we he/she who is married careth for the things of the world and how they might please their spouse..Notice the key element of marriage is "Pleasing the spouse"..If I'm married, I must provide for my wife, please my wife, protect my wife, get along with her, be attracted to her, love her, and be compatible with her..Those are all natural things that must be done when I'm married..However, nothing changes about my spiritual walk with God when I get married..I still have to be saved..regardless..However, when I get married, these natural implications are added to the equation..And dont get me wrong..OH I WILL GET MARRIED!!!!! lol..I dont want anybody to misinterpret me.MARRIAGE IS A WONDERFUL THING!!!!!!
PART III
On the topic of Engagement&Dating
when we say that the bible speaks on only two committed relationships - marriage and engagement, we run into a deep rut because in our modern day society we automatically uphold our form of "engagement" as the same as the "engagement" in the bible......However, this is not the case....My reasoning is as follows:
- Firstly, I would implore everyone to study Jewish custom regarding engagement/espousement
- Secondly, According to Jewish Custom when a couple would become engaged (espoused/betrothed) there was a ceremony
- Thirdly, "Wedding VOWS" were exchanged
- Fourth, They were bound by these vows... Read More
-Fifth, they had to wait a year to consummate or have sex....also at this time they could move in together
- Lastly, in order to get out of your "engagement" you had to get a divorce (such is the case of Mary and Joseph)
This is nothing like our form of engagement..We can't compare it to the bible's form.I don't believe that dating is a "commitment".I believe it's an acknowledgement between two people that we are interested in one another and we are getting to know one another..Commitment between men and women before God is done only when vows are exchanged..When someone gets engaged today, they are not bound under the law to marry that individual..That's why I don't believe we can use that like the bible does..So basically commitment only really starts once vows are exchanged according to the bible..
Lots of great ideas were shared...it def gave me food for thought and I wanted to share..hope it makes you think too!
Love ya!
